We are pleased to announce that we have won a pioneering award for our outstanding mental health and wellbeing provision. The school has been awarded Gold standard by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools.

Blessed Robert Sutton provides a wide range of activities to boost the wellbeing of pupils and staff. These include rolling out a universal program of mental health support which means that every pupil has a 1:1 conversation about wellbeing each term.

Form time takes place at the start and end of the day to allow for pastoral support to be given during both sessions.

Blessed Robert Sutton school also leads wellbeing discussions and training both in the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust, and nationally, and has developed a culture in which leaders ask themselves ‘are staff, pupils and parents getting the best deal’ – including around their wellbeing.

Year 9 students took part in a Q&A session with former BRS student – Flight Lieutenant Joseph Bird. As they look at choosing their options and making big life choices, another inspirational talk.

The amazing Nathan Dawe taking part in a Q&A session with our Year 10 students – 27.1.2023.  A former student inspiring current students to achieve.

Students were a real credit to themselves as they lined up at 11am this morning for a 2-minute silence, to remember those who have lost their lives during war & conflict. At this time we also remember those who are bravely still fighting conflicts around the world.

Year 7 students today delivered and planted 100 poppies that students had made at Stanton Manor Care Home.

Fantastic creative skills shown by our Year 7 students today during their reimagine day!
